Radio Jamaica Sports can report that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), has filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), challenging a ruling of handed down by Jamaica's Independent Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel against junior athlete Skyler Franklin.
According to Radio Jamaica Sports sources with knowledge of the matter, and who spoke on condition of anonimity, WADA filed the appeal against the public reprimand with CAS last week.
The December 2025 decision, stemmed from a positive test for metabolites of GW1516, also known as cardarine, at the 2024 JAAA National Senior and Junior Championships, which saw Franklin being given the public reprimand and losing her results from the meet.
The case was prosecuted by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO), which carried out the test.
