Reggae Girl Khadija “Bunny” Shaw has been named the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Women's Player of the Year in England.
This is the second major trophy in three months for Shaw, as the 27 year old Manchester City forward was named the Women's Super League Player of the Season in May. She was the top scorer for the 2023-24 season with 21 goals in 18 games.
Injury curtailed the Jamaican international's season and City ended the league campaign second to Chelsea on goal difference.
Shaw, a first-time winner of the PFA award, was also named Player of the Year at the women's football awards. She has been sidelined for several months, recovering after surgery on a broken leg.
Meanwhile, Phil Foden also of Manchester City, took the men's PFA award. The 24 year old Foden was instrumental in City winning a fourth consecutive English Premier League (EPL) title, scoring 19 times and providing 8 assists.
