Cornwall College record big victory over Maldon in DaCosta Cup

Many time champions Cornwall College scored the biggest win of the day in the Round of 16 in the ISSA DaCosta Cup following a 6-1 victory over Maldon High on Wednesday. Nickane Brown and Mekhi Foster were on target twice in setting up the win. 

Over at St Elizabeth Technical controversy reined as the home team beat Kemps Hill 4-0.

STETHS were on their way to victory after leading 3-0 when Kemps Hill thought they should have been awarded a penalty. With none forthcoming, the Kemps Hill players were told to protest, which they did.

However, the referee allowed play to continue which saw STETHS walking the ball into the net with Wayne Brown Getting the goal. Kemps Hill ended with nine players, as goalkeeper Omario Chambers and Ricardo Dean were red-carded.

Ocho Rios High were 1-0 winners over Old Harbour High at Drax Hall. Christiana High got the better of William Knibb High 3-0 at Manchester High, McGrath High had a 2-0 win over Manchester High, Dinthill recorded a 2-1 win over Manning’s School, Clarendon College and Garvey Maceo High ended 0-0 and Glenmuir High beat Maggotty High 1-0.
