Jamaica's multiple Olympic gold medallist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce says this will be her final season on the track. The 37 year old two time olympic 100m champion made the revelation in a recent interview with American monthly lifestyle magazine Essence.
In explaining her decision to retire after the Paris Olympics, Fraser-Pryce said it wasn’t due to the restraints of age or the desire to stop racing, but family commitments.
Fraser-Pryce will be aiming to compete at her 5th consecutive Olympic games in Paris this summer. She has also won the world 100m title on 5 occasions.
