FSC order places National Premier League in trouble

The National Premier Football League now faces a new threat following the cease and desist order issued by the Financial Services Commission, (FSC), on the title sponsors Cash Plus Limited Friday.                The order means that Cash Plus must immediately stop conducting securities business, including soliciting and accepting loans until the company is licensed by the FSC.

Cash Plus has pledged $50 million per year over a three year period to the Premier League Clubs Association for the National Premier Football League.

Meanwhile, referee Raymond Bogle will take control of Sunday's featured game in the 13th round of the Jamaica Football Federation's Cash Plus National Premier League.

Television Jamaica's (TVJ's) game of the day will see second placed

Tivoli Gardens will go up against fourth placed Seba United at the Edward Seaga Stadium starting at 3 o'clock, while in HITZ 92FM's commentary game from Drewsland, Waterhouse will defend their unbeaten home record against Arnett Gardens.

Referee Dwight Royal will be in charge of that 4 o'clock fixture.

Leaders Portmore United will play away to Boys Town at Collie Smith Drive, where Howard Stennett will be the referee.

In other games, Reno will host Sporting Central, St. Georges will entertain August Town and defending champion, Harbour View, will play away to Village United.
