Jamaica's women registered a comfortable 10 wicket win over the Windward Islands women in their 5th place playoff at the CWI T20 Blaze on Friday at the Arnos Vale Ground in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Windward Islands women were first restricted to 62-9. Vanessa Watts was the pick of the Jamaican bowlers taking 3-5, while veteran Stafanie Taylor picked up with 2-13. Captain Zaida James top scored with 24 for the Windwards women.
Chasing 63 to win, the Jamaican women raced to their target, posting 65-0 in 3.4 overs. Chedean Nation top scored with 23 from 12 balls, while captain Rashada Williams made 21 from 17. The Windwards women also conceded 21 extras.
