The local contingent of Jamaica's Davis Cup team's departure to Paraguay from the Norman Manley International Airport was postponed Wednesday afternoon due to visa issues for some members of the delegation. The team will instead depart on Thursday.
Jamaica will be seeking to secure one of three places to group two playoffs for the Davis Cup when they compete against eight other teams comprising hosts Paraguay, Costa Rica, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
The competition will start on Monday, June 17.
