Defending champions and Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League leaders Mount Pleasant FC condemned newcomers Lime Hall Academy to a ninth defeat this season after drubbing them 4-1 in the St Ann derby on Thursday.
Mount Pleasant actually came from behind after conceding a 15th minute lead to Ronaldo Brown. However, goals from Daniel Green and Damari Deacon put the champions 2-1 up at half time.
Jamoi Topey missed a 54th minute penalty to extend the lead but Ramone Howell and Oquassa Chong rounded out the scoring in stoppage time.
The win took Mount Pleasant to 28 points and maintained their one point lead at the top over Portmore United who spanked Humble Lion 4-1 at the Effortville Community Centre.
Chevaughn Walsh scored a brace, while veteran Rudolph Austin and Shacquwell Henry found the net for Portmore who moved to 27 points.
Tivoli slipped to third after they were surprised 2-1 by Montego Bay United at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex.
Tivoli were in front after 41 minutes courtesy of Odaine Pennycooke, but second half strikes from Ahmal Nugent-Hudson and Brian Brown piloted Mo Bay to a fourth victory this season.
Dunbeholden rebounded from Sunday's loss to Cavalier by clipping Vere United 2-1 at the Wembley Centre of Excellence.
Kemar Beckford sent Vere in front after 49 minutes, but Shakeen Powell and Chevoy Watkin handed Dunbeholden the three points.
The result took them to 21 points and into fifth position. Waterhouse clipped Harbour View 2-1 in the late kickoff.
