Radio Jamaica Sports understands that a meeting was held on Tuesday night following the resignation of Owen Hill from his post as Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Football Jamaica Limited (PFJL) after 3 years at the helm.
Hill's resignation which was handed in late Monday evening, takes effect on September 26. In his resignation letter to the chairman and the board of the PFJL, Hill noted that his decision to resign came after months of professional reflection.
He further noted he was confident that the league was well positioned to build on the successes accomplished as CEO of the PFJL.
Hill further indicated a willingness to serve the organization in a consultative role going forward. Hill was appointed CEO of the PFJL in September 2022, and handled the day-to-day operations of the JPL and its commercial viability.
When Radio Jamaica Sports contacted Hill on Tuesday afternoon for a comment on the matter, we were told he was locked in a meeting. Hill's resignation comes just weeks after PFJL chairman Chris Williams also stepped down.
