Poor batting and fielding by Windies allow Bangladesh to take charge of final test

Poor batting by the West Indies in their first innings reply and then below par fielding, have contributed to Bangladesh taking command of the second and final test at stumps on day three at Sabina Park.

With the Caribbean side resuming on their overnight 70-1, replying to Bangladesh's first innings knock of 164, nothing went the way of the regional standard bearers.

The visitors aided by Nahid Rana, ripped through what looked like a fragile batting line-up to end with 5 for 61 off 18 overs, as the Windies were skittled out for 146.

Keacy Carty top scored for the home team with 40, while skipper Kraigg Brathwaite weighed in with 39. Bangladesh batting a second time, closed on 193-5, an overall lead of 211.

Shamar Joseph has so far taken 2-70, with a wicket each for Jayden Seales, Alzarri Joseph and Justin Greaves.

Scores: Bangladesh - 164 & 195-5; West Indies - 146.
