Reggae Boyz suffer WCQ setback; surprised by Curacao

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz World Cup qualifying campaign has suffered a setback after they went down 2-0 to Curacao in their CONCACAF final round qualifier on Friday night at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Curacao.

Midfielder Livano Comenencia gave the home team the lead in the 14th minute, while substitute Kenji Gorre added a second goal in the 68th minute.

Curacao now lead Group “B” on 7 points, one ahead of the Reggae Boyz who will meet Bermuda at the National Stadium on Tuesday. There are three rounds of matches remaining in the final round.
