Scoreboard issues to be rectified for Windies' remaining T20Is against Proteas

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jerome Foster

CEO of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) Courtney Francis has promised to have the scoreboard issue at Sabina Park rectified ahead of Saturday’s second T20 International match against South Africa.

The communication between the television umpire and the on field umpires were affected by the absence of a functioning television screen in the venue, as the one built for the 2007 World Cup is now out of use.

The over 10,000 patrons who were in attendance were also left at sea for much of the game due to the screen being out of commission.

The new temporary board being installed is just a quick fix, but Francis says a longer term solution will be needed going forward.
