Tivoli Gardens wins fifth Premier League title

Tivoli Gardens F.C. won their fifth Premier League title on Sunday through a first half stoppage time goal by Navion Boyd.

A point was all Tivoli needed to secure the title over Boys Town.

They came out attacking however, and were eventually rewarded.

It is the third title in seven years for Tivoli Garden's whose coach Glendon "Admiral" Bailey also led them to the title in 2003-2004 season.

He left the club two years later.

Tivoli Gardens will next Sunday attempt the national double when they face St. George's S.C. in the FLOW All-Island Knock Out final.

St. George's were relegated on Sunday after a goal-less draw against Sporting Central Academy at Lynch Park.

Humble Lion, who drubbed relegated Benfica 7-0 at Drax Hall, secured safety on goal difference.

In other games, dethroned champions Harbour View edged Portmore United 1-0, Waterhouse and Village United ended goal-less and Reno clipped Arnett Gardens 1-0.
