U20 Reggae Girlz match postponed due to adverse weather on Dom Rep

Jamaica's Under 20 Reggae Girlz will have to wait a while longer before getting their CONCACAF Championship campaign underway after Wednesday’s fixtures were postponed due to adverse weather.

The young Jamaicans were due to play Canada in their opening match of the competition in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. CONCACAF says a new date for the fixture will be announced shortly.

Jamaica, who are competing in their 12th CONCACAF Championship, are attempting to reach their first global tournament after emerging as winners of their group in the qualifiers.

The Under 20 girlz reached this stage by finishing top of their group in the previous round winning all of their matches.

They are scheduled to play the defending champions the United States on Friday and Panama on Sunday.
