Jamaica's Under-21 Sunshine Girls made a winning start to their Netball Youth World Cup campaign with a comfortable 66-43 win over Tonga on Sunday in Gibraltar.
The Jamaicans led 19-9 at the end of the first quarter, before extending their advantage to 36-17 at half time.
At the end of the third quarter, the lead expanded to 23 goals, as the Jamaicans took command of the game 52-29.
That 23 goal lead was maintained throughout the final quarter, as the young Sunshine Girls got their campaign off to a positive start.
The Jamaicans will next be in action on Monday at 1:00 pm Jamaica time, when they face Sri Lanka in action from Pool "C".
