Jamaican umpire Jacqueline Williams is hoping her appearance in Sunday's ICC Women's 50 over World Cup final will provide more opportunities for women in the region.
Williams will officiate in the final of a women's global ICC event for the second time in three years when she walks out for the championship game of the 50 over World Cup on Sunday where South Africa will take on India.
Williams along with Australian Eloise Sheridan will be the on-field umpires at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, where both nations are bidding to become champions for the first time. Sunday's final is set to get underway at 4:30 am Jamaica time.
