The West Indies women suffered a 4-1 series defeat to New Zealand in their T20 series following a five wicket defeat in the final match on Thursday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Batting first, the Windies posted 101-8 with captain Hayley Matthews top-scoring with 56. No other batter was able to get into double figures, as Suzie Bates picked up 3-10 for the Kiwis.
In their chase, the Kiwi women led by an unbeaten 32 from Maddy Green, got to their target off the final ball of the match.
Amelia Kerr chipped in with 25 along with 23 from captain Sophie Devine. Afy Fletcher, Shaneta Grimmond and Shabika Gajnabi all claimed a wicket apiece. The Windies women had earlier lost the ODI series 2-1.
