Capitol Records drops AI-generated rapper FN Meka over racist stereotypes

Record label Capitol Music Group has cut ties with Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapper FN Meka, after criticism of racial stereotypes.

The artificial intelligence musician was given the appearance of a black male with tattoos and dreadlocks, often using the N-word, and glorified police brutality and incarceration.

Capitol Music has since ended their deal and has apologized to the black community for their insensitivity.

FN Meka currently has more than 500,000 monthly Spotify subscribers and more than one billion views on its TikTok account.

Its Instagram account, which has more than 220,000 followers, has been made private.
