Shareholders in 1834 Investments have unanimously agreed to the RJRGLEANER Communications Group's bid to takeover over the company.
At a special meeting Wednesday morning, 99.8 per cent of the 103 investors at the meeting voted in favour of the company being acquired by the communications group.
Only one person voted against the resolution. This means in a matter of months the RJRGLEANER Communications Group will acquire more than $1 billion in cash and assets from the company.
The Group says it plans to use the capital to fund expansion and the continued rollout of the government mandated digital switchover.
