Banks in Trinidad concerned about growing attacks on customers by criminals

The Bankers Association of Trinidad & Tobago today said it acknowledges with great concern the increased risk being faced by clients before and after they visit banks and automated teller machines.

In a statement, the BATT said the increase in criminal activity is of as much concern to it as it is to customers, and that in an effort to combat the uptick, the association has strengthened its coordination effort among all banks.

The Association says it has broadened the interaction with the Trinidad & Tobago Police Service and is finalizing a partnership with Crime Stoppers Trinidad and Tobago Ltd in the effort to mitigate and/or manage incidents of this nature.
