C&W Communications, as part of a private-public partnership between some Caribbean countries, has launched an initiative to help bridge the digital divide.
Aptly called JUMP, it aims to foster greater digital inclusion in a region that currently has less than 65 percent broadband penetration with 27 million users from a total combined population of 44 million.
So far, the governments of Jamaica, Barbados, Grenada, St Lucia, and The Bahamas have committed to JUMP and more than 2 thousand 7 hundred households have already been connected.
