Hardware and Lumber on Wednesday launched an innovative housing solution as it seeks to help provide more affordable housing units for Jamaicans.
This solution, which uses advanced modular concrete technology, can lead to the construction and occupancy of a one-bedroom (332 sq ft) house for $4.1 million and a two-bedroom unit (450 sq ft) for $4.5 million in eight weeks. There is also a three-bedroom option (944 sq ft) for $8.9 million.
The technology is certified by the Bureau of Standards Jamaica and is durable and can withstand Category 4 hurricane winds of 135 miles per hour.
