Rating agency reaffirms assessment of Wigton's J$5.8 billion bond

Credit Rating Services (CariCRIS) has reaffirmed its assessment of Wigton Windfarm's J$5.8 billion bond.

The agency has given the bond a local currency rating of jmA and from a regional scale, Cari-tripple B.

The national scale rating indicates that the bond's level of creditworthiness, checked in relation to other obligations in Jamaica, is good.

The regional scale rating indicates that the level of creditworthiness of the bond obligation, judged in relation to other obligations in the Caribbean, is adequate.

Additionally, CariCRIS has maintained a stable outlook on the ratings.

The stable outlook is based on CariCRIS' expectation of continued good performance over the next 12 to 15 months.

This is with the key credit drivers supporting the ratings being stable, with all debt service commitments expected to be paid in a timely manner over the period.
