Both the main JSE Index and the Junior Market indices declined in stock market trading on Monday.
The Main Index fell by 1,612 points, while the Junior Market Index declined by 67 points.
Advancing shares were outnumbered by declining shares by almost two-to-one.
The 33 advancing stocks were led by The Lab, JMMB Group 7.15 per cent preference shares, Sygnus Credit Investments 8.5 per cent preference shares, 138 Student Living, 138 Student Living Variable preference shares.
There were 58 declining shares including Sygnus Credit Investments 8 per cent preference shares, JFP, General Accident, Salada Foods and Knutsford Express.
Twenty-one stocks traded firm.
