The JSE Index advanced by 1,089 points to close at 332,660 points on Wednesday, while the Junior Market Index advanced by 21 points to close at 3,703 points.
The 49 winners included tTech, 138 Student Living Variable Preference shares, Stanley Motta, CAC 2000, and Consolidated Bakeries.
The 42 shares which lost ground were led by JPS 7 per cent Preference shares, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy USD shares, AMG Packaging and Paper, Caribbean Assurance Brokers and Eppley 7.25 per cent Preference shares.
Twenty-one stocks closed the day at the same price they commenced the trading day.
