Twenty-seven Jamaicans who have been stranded in Britain will return home today as permission has been granted for them to land, despite the closure of the island's borders to flights from the United Kingdom.
In a media release on Wednesday, the Ministry of National Security said the Jamaicans will arrive on a Boeing 777 aircraft.
The flight will on Thursday repatriate British nationals and residents to the UK.
The ministry says the individuals will be housed in a government managed quarantine facility for 14 days.
It says families of arriving passengers should not meet at the airport.
