Another fatal shooting at gas station at Molynes/Red Hills Road intersection

Senior Superintendent Aaron Fletcher, head of the St. Andrew North Police

For the second time in a little more than a week there has been a deadly shooting at the Mackville Terrace Total gas station at the intersection of Molynes Road and Red Hills Road in St. Andrew.

A man, who was employed to a car wash located on the property, was killed by two gunmen about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the victim had been deported from the US in 2013.

Senior Superintendent Aaron Fletcher, head of the St. Andrew North Police, told Radio Jamaica News that the gunmen reportedly walked up to the car wash employee and shot him before escaping on foot.

No motive has yet been established for the shooting.

Superintendent Fletcher said it is unclear whether the shooting was linked to the killing of two men at the same gas station on November 22.

In relation to that incident, he said there has since been a reprisal killing and a number of men have been taken into custody.

He told Radio Jamaica News that the double murder has been linked to a dispute in the St. Catherine South Police Division.
