Leonard Green, Advocates Association of Jamaica

Attorney and President of the Advocates Association of Jamaica, Leonard Green, is suggesting the creation of support departments for the Communication Forensics and Cybercrime Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force to assist with the heavy case load.
His comments follow reports of delays and dismissals of lottery scamming cases before the courts due the absence or delay in the production of reports from the division.
Mr. Green suggested new departments which are adjunct to the police force could be set up as a means of assisting the investigative process.
"Because, make no doubt about it, the future of cybercrimes and cyber protection is one of the biggest concerns globally and need to be addressed in a real way with innovative thinking," he asserted.
He was speaking Thursday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines.
Reports from the Communication Forensics and Cybercrime Division of the JCF are submitted to the court in relation to specific cases which involve the gathering of data from electronic devices seized in lottery scamming cases.
