Barbados receives 100k COVID-19 vaccines from India

 
Barbados has received a gift of 100,000 doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from India.
 
The vaccines arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Tuesday.
 
Prime Minister Mia Mottley said the doses will be administered to 50,000 Barbadians starting with frontline workers.
 
The Prime Minister told a virtual press briefing her Government expects to buy another 100,000 doses of the vaccine from India.
