Police say a 14-year-old boy was killed in a sword attack in north-east London, on Tuesday morning.
Four others were injured, including two police officers.
The other victims are all in hospital but are not thought to have life-threatening injuries.
Police say a 36-year-old suspect was arrested after being tasered, 22 minutes after they first received a call.
The suspect is in hospital after driving his van into a house.
