Unions representing correctional officers have agreed to accept the new compensation rates offered by the government.
This follows a meeting Thursday at the Ministry of Finance between the University & Allied Workers Union, the Jamaica Federation of Corrections, and the Senior Uniformed Officers Association, all of which represent correctional officers.
A release from the Finance Ministry said the parties agreed to have a formal signing next week.
