Entertainer Okeefe Aaron, who is better known as Laden, was remanded when he appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court today.

Laden is charged jointly with 21-year-old Saaion Ebanks and a 16-year-old boy.

They are charged with illegal possession of a firearm, breaching the Disaster Risk Management Regulations and failing to stop at the request of a police officer.

Laden's attorney, Charles Benbow, said the judge denied bail as the ballistics report was outstanding.

The bail hearing will continue on November 9.

Mr. Ebanks and the 16-year-old boy, who is Laden's brother, were granted bail in the sum of $500,000.

Their attorney, Thomas Levene, said the teen is expected to appear in the Children's Court in Balaclava on Wednesday in relation to another charge.

"Everyone will be returning in the substantive matter next week Monday, the 9th of November. And as things are happening now, investigations are still ongoing. They're proceeding quickly and we expect that these procedures should be brought to an end before the year's end," the lawyer said.

Laden and his co-accused were arrested on Wednesday night, during the curfew, along the Cheapside main road in St. Elizabeth.
