Classes were disrupted Wednesday at Buff Bay Primary School in Portland due to a fire at the institution.
The fire caused damage to the library.
No one was injured.
Principal Jacqueline Edwards told Radio Jamaica News that the school's head chef used a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze.
She said the fire occurred just days after fire personnel visited the school and conducted an inspection.
