RJR News has been informed that a new board is now in place at the Garvey Maceo High School in Clarendon.
The original board had resigned en bloc over a dispute regarding the appointment of a new principal.
The new board had its first meeting Thursday evening at the school and, according to sources, the first order of business will be the appointment of a new principal.
In September the former board members resigned following reports that an attempt was being made to influence them in choosing a principal.
The Education Ministry, however, stated that the board members resigned due to poor academic and disciplinary standards at the school.
