Oneidge Allicock, Guyana's Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce
Guyana's Tourism, Industry and Commerce Minister, Oneidge Allicock, has tested positive for the coronavirus becoming the second Cabinet minister to do so within a seven-day period.
Earlier this week, President Irfaan Ali and all his ministers, were tested for the virus after Foreign and International Cooperation Minister, Hugh Todd, was diagnosed with the respiratory illness.
Mrs Allicock has since gone into self-isolation in keeping with public health guidelines.
In a statement Guyana's Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony urged Guyanese to take all the precautions to protect themselves and their family from COVID 19.
