JUTC bus driver charged with killing taxi operator, offered bail

Oral Clarke, the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) driver, who was charged in connection with the death of a taxi operator on Washington Boulevard in St. Andrew, was on Wednesday offered bail in the sum of $600,000 when he appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court.
 
The 37 year old driver was ordered not to contact or interfere with witnesses in the case.
 
Mr. Clarke, who has been in custody since September 24, is to return to court on November 22.
 
The JUTC driver is charged with the fatal stabbing of Keeno Britton of  Ambrook Lane, St. Andrew.
 
The police reported that about 6.45 p.m. on September 23, Mr. Britton was driving when he got into an altercation with the JUTC bus driver.
 
Mr. Britton was stabbed several times with a knife.
