Man gets seven and a half years in prison for smuggling cocaine from Jamaica to UK

A man who smuggled more than 250,000 pounds of cocaine into the UK after arriving on a flight from Montego Bay, St. James, has been jailed for seven and a half years.
 
Kemar Plummer, 35, was found guilty of importing cocaine after appearing in Stockport Magistrate's Court on Friday.
 
Plummer was arrested at Manchester Airport on January 9, 2020.
 
Packets in his suitcase were found to contain more than seven pounds of cocaine with a street value of 277,000 pounds.
 
According to the Manchester Evening News newspaper, National Crime Agency personnel reported that his phone also contained an image of a thick pile of 10 and 20 pound notes, which he claimed was from the sale of a car.
