Man killed, two others injured in truck crash on P.J. Patterson Highway

One man died and two others were injured in a motor vehicle mishap along a section of the P.J. Patterson Highway, near the Old Harbour exit in St. Catherine on Wednesday.
 
A truck, with three persons aboard, overturned into a ditch along the roadway.
 
Two of the occupants were taken from the truck, but another man was trapped under it.
 
Commander for the St. Catherine division of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Superintendent Dennis Lyon, says the Old Harbour Fire Station was alerted to the crash about 5:19 p.m. 
 
"On their arrival, it was discovered that a truck overturned along the roadway. Two persons were pulled from the wreckage and was (sic) immediately transported to the Spanish Town Hospital for treatment, while the third person was trapped under the truck. Heavy duty wrecker was requested and after the unit was removed, the body of the gentleman was retrieved and taken to the Spanish Town Hospital," he reported.
