A nine-year-old boy was killed after being abducted during a carjacking in the community of Estuary in St. James on Thursday morning.
According to reports reaching Radio Jamaica News, the child's body was found on Irwin Boulevard.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that shortly after 9 o'clock the boy was travelling in a car being driven by his mother on the Tucker main road.
The woman slowed down to navigate a pothole when the vehicle was ambushed by gunmen.
It's reported that the men dragged the woman from her car, hit her in the face, and drove off with her son.
The boy's body, with the neck slashed, was later found inside the vehicle which was abandoned.
