The One Don Gang Trial has been postponed until October 19 as two of the defendants have contracted COVID-19.
Radio Jamaica News was informed on Monday afternoon that Andre Golding and Owen Ormsby tested positive for the virus.
When the matter was called up in the Home Circuit Court on Monday morning, Chief Justice Bryan Sykes told the court that COVID cases have been detected at the location were both men are being held.
No video-link technology
The Chief Justice also complained on Monday that 19 months into the pandemic, police stations have not been provided with technology to connect to courts via video-link.
The Chief Justice said he will be pressing the Jamaica Constabulary Force to have the technology installed.
