Hugh Graham, Opposition MP for St Catherine North Western,  is not ruling out crossing the floor to join the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).

Mr Graham on Monday announced his resignation as spokesperson on Commerce, Science & Technology in a Twitter post.

He said he was in consultations with the People's National Party's Executive regarding his future as MP.

Speaking Monday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, Mr Graham said several issues prompted his decision to resign.

When asked specifically by host Dionne Jackson Miller whether he intended to cross the floor in Parliament to join the caucus of the governing JLP, he did not rule it out, instead saying that he was "open to the possibilities of life".

"Things are unfolding; I came to serve and that's what I want to do," he added.

He said there could be further developments in relation to his tenure as Member of Parliament.

MP Denise Daley, Peoples National Party Chairman for Region 4, in response to news of Mr Graham’s resignation, said it was regrettable that she learned about it through the media.
