Heavy rains over the Cayman Islands during the last 24 hours has caused flooding in some sections of the largest island, Grand Cayman, with residents in some locations having to be evacuated.
Emergency Services in North Side are said to be responding to reports of flooding in the Rum Point area, where at least four homes have been flooded.
Residents there are being evacuated and others are being asked to stay off the roads unless it is necessary.
The National Weather Service is forecasting at least two inches of rainfall in the next 24 hours.
According to an advisosy from the Caymanian police, Anthony Drive, George Town, is impassable because it is flooded. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.
There have also been reports of flooding in several other locations: Yeats Street and Sitwell Street, in Belford Estates, Bodden Town, and areas of Hurst Road, North Sound Estates and Shamrock Road near the Lime Exchange are also affected.
According to the police bulletin, reports of stalled vehicles have also been received in George Town.
Motorist in low-profile vehicles are being discouraged from driving through flooded roads.
