Radio Jamaica News has been informed that in light of the Government's intention to review the regulation in the Road Traffic Act pertaining to use of child restraint systems in taxis, the police will be asked to use their discretion.
This means small children will be allowed to be transported in back seats without child restraint system.
The police are meeting on the matter and a statement will be released to the media today.
