Police monitoring Comfort, Manchester following flare-up in gang violence

The police are maintaining a presence in the community of Comfort in Manchester following a flare up in gang violence in recent weeks.
 
Several shootings have been reported in the area.
 
In the latest incident, a man was killed at his house on Saturday night. 
 
Superintendent Gary Francis, head of the Manchester Police, and members of the Jamaica Defence Force toured the community on Thursday.  
 
Superintendent Francis said the police will remain in the area until calm is restored.
 
He said the police are searching for several men in relation to the upsurge in violence in Comfort.
