The Westmoreland police say they're still searching for clues which could lead them to the suspect behind killing of a medical doctor in the parish.
Dr. Aung Naing, a 57-year-old general practitioner, was found with his throat slashed at his home in Savanna-la-Mar on Sunday afternoon.
He had reportedly been living alone.
It's reported that concerned neighbours alerted the police after not seeing him for the last two weeks.
The cops are trying to determine whether he was killed by someone known to him after Dr. Naing's body was found locked up inside his residence.
Fire personnel assisted the police in gaining entry to the house.
Dr. Naing had been living in Jamaica since 1997.
He started his career as an intern at Kingston Public Hospital, following his arrival from Myanmar.
He then moved on to work at Savanna-la-Mar Hospital and later at Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, Hanover.
