Police still in pursuit of mastermind behind Cherry Tree Lane mass shooting

The Major Investigation Division says it is still searching for the mastermind behind last year's mass shooting in Cherry Tree Lane, Clarendon.

Eight people, including an eight year-old boy, were killed in the attack on August 11.

A senior investigator told Radio Jamaica News that the Police High Command is continuing the pursuit of all those involved in planning the deadly incident.

The two men charged in connection with the incident - 28 year-old Dushane Smalling, otherwise called Snowman, and 32 year old Leighton Whyte, also called Bands, were again remanded when they appeared before the Home Circuit Court on Friday.

The men are to return on May 29.

Two other men linked to the massacre were fatally shot by the police.
