Protesters in Pittsburgh demand justice for Jamaican Peter Spencer

Protesters marched through downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, calling for justice in the death of  Jamaican Peter Spencer.

Mr. Spencer, who was 29, was fatally shot nine times while on a hunting trip with five white people in Venango County last December.

His relatives believe the killing was racially motivated.

His father addressing the protesters, declared: "We will get justice!"

"You don't know what you (took) away," he said in reference to his son's killers, adding that there was no price that could be placed on his loss.

Several persons, including the suspected shooter, were detained and then released.

The main suspect claimed self-defence, a claim which the victim's brother scoffed at.

Jamaica's Foreign Affairs Ministry says it has been receiving updates on the Peter Spencer case via the Consul General in New York.
