The St. Mary Police are probing the killing of 62-year-old George Malcolm, a farmer of Board Villa, Fort Stewart, on Wednesday.
It is reported that about 2:10 p.m., residents in Dry River, Fort Stewart, Enfield reported hearing several loud explosions and immediately contacted the police.
Officers who arrived on the scene conducted a search and discovered Mr. Malcolm facedown in nearby bushes with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
No spent casings were recovered from the scene.
The police are urging anyone with information that can assist the investigation to contact the Annotto Bay Police at 876-994-4222, Crime Stop at 311, or the nearest police station.
