The St. Mary police have apprehended an escapee who fled custody on Friday, November 29.
Back in custody is 31-year-old Oshane Scott, also known as "Chin Chin," a labourer of Manchester Lane, Cox Street, Port Maria, St. Mary
Around 8:04 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, members of the JCF conducted a targeted raid in the Frontier district of Port Maria, St. Mary.
During the operation, Scott was found walking along Warner Street. He was accosted and taken into custody.
He was scheduled to appear before the Port Maria Circuit Court to face charges of attempted rape, larceny, assault at common law, and unlawful wounding.
The police said Scott was being escorted by a police corporal from the restroom back to the holding area when he reportedly assaulted the corporal and managed to flee through the main gate onto Warner Street.
The St. Mary Police Division is advising members of the public that it is illegal to harbour a fugitive.
