Traffic changes, safety protocols announced for Freedom Street Concert

By Halshane Burke

The police say several traffic changes and safety protocols will be instituted for patrons of next Tuesday's Freedom Street Concert at the National Stadium.

The police are advising people who will be attending the concert that no offensive weapons will be allowed inside the venue.

They say firearms, explosives, knives, glass bottles, large umbrellas and scissors, or any other item that can be used to cause serious harm or injury, will not be permitted.

The police are advising motorists that no parking will be allowed at the National Stadium.

A one-way system will be strictly enforced.

Motorists travelling along Mountain View Avenue and Arthur Wint Drive may experience disruptions in normal traffic flow before, during and after the event.

Traffic personnel will be deployed along the roadways and members of the public are being advised to follow their instructions.
